In recent years, the number and range of cyber crimes has grown rapidly. Cyber criminals have especially been targeting commercial enterprises and state structures. These criminals attempt to steal and disclose confidential information that can result in impairing an organization’s information resources, damage its reputation and by extension affect potentially tens of thousands of its clients. Some types of attacks allow hackers access to a computer system giving them complete access. These can later be used as part of a ‘zombie network’ to attack servers, send out spam or as points of spreading Trojans and new viruses.

Several years ago I was having an issue with my router.  At the time I was using a Linksys (don't remember which model), which is basically the standard-issue router for neophytes, dilettantes and un-expert computer users everywhere.
